Oh, the Christmas shopping in London...IS CRAZY!!! We ventured out the past couple weekends and decided to do a little shopping on some of the popular streets to shop in London (Picadilly Circus, Oxford Street, New Bond Street, Carnaby Street, Regent Street) and I mean holy craziness, and I like shopping, but here is what you are dealing with:
- lots, lots, lots of people…everywhere
- streets closed and even with the streets closed, the sidewalks are still overcrowed
- very long "queues" (British word for lines) OUTSIDE and inside stores
- fake snowed being made at the top of buildings (I felt like I was at a Wisconsin ski resort)
- Christmas wrapping trailer stations in the middle of the closed streets
- extreme amounts of Christmas decorations (and a bit bizarre too)
