4 Months

Here we are at four months and on our way back to the US. We are both really looking forward to lots of time with our family and friends over the holidays. It's a much needed break for us, especially for Chris! I'm hoping he'll be able to unwind and relax being away from the office for 2 weeks!!

Here's a few things on us at our 4 month mark:

Chris-He is feeling more comfortable with work and is a lot more integrated with the processes. He had his first review with his boss, which went really well although his boss is a a bit worried that he has been working TOO many hours and needs to slow down. He had lots of Christmas celebrations at work including his first work Christmas dinner and also received his first Christmas "hamper" (which is a basket full of biscuits, chocolates, and marmalades).

Lisa-I have also enjoyed learning all about the British Christmas traditions at the schools that I have been working at. I sat through lots of Christmas concert practices (which included teaching the students the Christmas concert songs, participating in singing the Christmas concert songs, and helping the younger students get changed into their sheperd costumes), opened up many days of the Advent calendar, and learned all about Christmas "crackers", "puddings", and "baubles." It was a great experience to be in the schools and be involved in new Christmas traditions!!
