1 more month down!!!
We have been busy with travels and been getting ready for more, as well as a visit from our friends, Bethany and Chris, who will be our very 1st visitors!!
Things for each of us really haven't changed too much:
Chris-STILL WORKING A LOT, but is such a trooper with his hours, other than that he is completely exhausted because the past few weeks have been some really late hours. He is really good about getting caught up on the weekends, and even gets in a few naps!! I have actually encouraged him to nap in bed and actually enjoy it instead of just passing out on the couch (which doesn't even fit his whole body)!!
Lisa-Since the last monthly update, I decided to tally up all the schools that I have been to so far. I have worked at a total of 23 schools around London. Here's a list of them: Worple Primary School, Allenby Primary School, Feltham Hill Nursery and Infant School, Heston Infant and Nursery School, Grove Park Primary School, Ravenor Primary School, St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Hounslow Heath Primary School, West Twyford Primary School, Three Bridges Primary School, St. John Evangelist Primary School, Bevington Primary School, Robinsfield Infant School, Eleanor Palmer Primary School, New North Community School, St. Mary Magdalene Academy, John Betts Primary School, Queens Manor Primary School, St. Christopher’s School, St. Luke’s Primary School, St. Mary’s Primary School, St. Peter’s Primary School, and Barrow Hill Junior School. I can remember each one of them (some better than others) and even made sure to keep a record of the directions on how to get to each school for future reference if I had to go back.
I also got asked to stay at the school I'm currently at, St. Joseph's, for another four weeks. I'm really happy about it because it's consistent work, at the same school and I now know the students, staff and my way around the school. It's nice because I don't have to worry about directions every morning, I know I need to get on the E3 bus right across the street from our building and it takes me three blocks from the school. The commute is anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic and the buses, but realistically it is worth it.
