My 10 day visit to the US was just great and I enjoyed every minute of it!! I had planned this trip around our friend Dave's wedding and convinced Chris to let me come home the weekend before the wedding so that I would have 7 whole days to play with family and friends, and of course to meet Miss Adelyn Jean King!!!
I was very fortunate to have lots of time with family and with my friends in Chicago, CP, Indy, and Vernon Hills!! I also managed to get a few "to-do" items taken care of for Chris and I as well. So it made my trip worthwhile for him!
As far as being away from each other for 7 days, I'm not sure who it was harder on, me or him. I had plenty of distractions during my visit, but I still missed him tons. He also had lots of work distractions which left him coming home later and later, but to an empty flat. By the time we saw each other the following Friday, at our friend's rehearsal dinner, it was bittersweet!!
I know you are thinking...I left Chris for a week? No worries, I left him well prepared for my departure from London.

My 1st stop in CP was to finally meet little Miss Adelyn and yes, she is SO adorable!!
I was able to spend a couple hours each day with Adelyn and her mommy!!
Adelyn had lots of cuddling time with her Auntie Lisa and Auntie Amy!
Of course, I got to see these two, Layla and Kaptur! We had a play date at mom and dad Batusic's (they love to find Mr. Dave's drum set in the basement) and then we had a sleepover back at their house!!
They got dressed up in my old leotards from gymnastics...too cute!!
It's time to say bye to Miss Adelyn...see you in a month and you get to meet Uncle Chris too!
I also got to see my little friend, Tyler, in Chicago...he's such a cutie!! His mom, Jaime, and I are good friends. Jaime and her husband Brad and their kids met up with me for brunch!!
