Here we are at three months living in London!! There has been lots going on that is sure keeping us busy!
Chris is actually in Chicago this weekend for our friend Dave's wedding!! It's definitely weird him not being here, but yes, I did leave him for 7 days earlier this month!! I have had a nice, long weekend getting caught up, cleaning, doing laundry, relaxing...you know fun stuff!!
This past Monday we met up with some friends, Dave and Christine, that were visiting London all the way from Indianapolis. They are friends with our friends, Mark and Sara, who got us in touch with them before we moved to London because before moving to Indy, they lived in London for two years. Of course, they had a favorite restaurant in mind they wanted to visit. They took us out for our first Indian experience at their favorite Indian restaurant, Punjab Tandoori, in Covent Garden (which is one of the popular areas to go in London). We had a really nice time with them, along with enjoying Indian food more than we expected. We'll definitely be visiting Punjab again!!
Also, on Tuesday this past week, we set a record in our house...Chris beat me home from work!! I had my teacher training, which I always have on Tuesday nights, and I usually don't get home until 9pm, but it's still before Chris gets home, BUT this Tuesday Chris made it home by 8pm!!
We are currently trying to plan our Spring trip too. My term break for school is April 1st-April 19th and the first week of April is a good time for Chris' work schedule to get away, SO we are definitely hoping to get a trip booked soon!! We are thinking Italy!!
We are also looking very forward to going home for the holidays for two whole weeks!! Lots and lots of time with family and friends. We are getting excited, well I know I AM getting excited!!
Our update...
Chris-He went on a quick one day trip to Belgium for work this month and keeps telling me how his passport is filling up, too bad it's all work trips and no time for traveling!! He still is working crazy hours, it slowed down for a bit and then when I was gone for that week, his hours increased through the night to the AM hours of the morning. He's hoping that things settle back down here before the holidays!
Lisa-I've been crazy busy working in the schools, I have added four more schools to my rotation of schools that I have been supplying for. I have continued to meet a lot of great people in the schools, as well as more new teacher friends within my teaching agency. My days fly by, each and every day is something new and exciting!! I'm really hoping to get something a little more consistent for the Spring and Summer term where I would be at the same school every day, either a maternity or sick cover or PPA cover (which would be doing supply work every day at the same school).
AND a few congratulations...
Congratulations to our good friends, the Pratt's, who are expecting a baby in May!! We are so excited for them and can't wait to meet baby Pratt!! They are going to be the best parents!!
Congratulations to Adelyn Jean King on her Baptism, which was today at St. Mary's. She's got two very special godparents, Dennis and Amy (who are expecting baby #3 in the next few weeks and who we can't wait to meet)!!
