More of Our Visitors Stuck

Well, my parents two week Europe trip was ending on such a bittersweet note UNTIL this morning just before we were about to head to the airport the airline had cancelled their flight. This is probably my dad's worst nightmare as he's a very planned man and was already anxious about everything he had to do once getting back in the US. It was already a long time for them to be away from home and it was my dad's longest vacation since being out of college, so as you can imagine he was not handling the "change of plans" very well!!

Dad had some Diet Coke and snacks to take his mind off things, but still on the computer looking for some updates!!!

Despite the changes, we ended up having a great, relaxing day and had our last family dinner when I finally got to make Mexican, which I had been wanting to make the whole time they were here but everyone was always asleep when it was dinner time...it's tiring being a "tourist"!!

The "command center"...does this look familiar from Chris & Bethany's visit and they were stuck too!!

Finally my dad was able to relax and watch a movie!!

They ended up getting booked on the first flight out on Sunday morning, so all was good...no worries, it was not the ash cloud, just a cancellation due to mechanical issues with the plane!
