I was able to sneak up a 30th birthday sign while Chris was still sleeping on Saturday morning...I'm sure he thought he was too old for fun birthday decorations, but I was all about celebrating his 30th!!

He wanted Italian for his birthday dinner and we found a quaint place with great food and wine!!
On the "tube" to meet up with our new friends, Tom and Claudia. Tom was a BETA with Chris, but a senior when he was a freshman. A friend of ours let us know that Tom was also living in London with his wife and coincidentally he is also from Northwest Indiana! It was great to talk to him about the "region" and some of the mutual friends we have. They were super nice and we are looking forward to hanging out with them some more!

Oh goodness, we are already looking a little "tipsy" from the wine at dinner!!
The majority of the bars here close between 12am-1am, and of course that is WAY too early for Chris to head home, so we had to find somewhere that stayed open later. Tom and Claudia head to this Austrian pub that stays open until 3am when they need a late night....the place was really ethnic, but had tasty beer!!
However, Chris could barely fit. The pub was in the basement and the ceilings were very LOW!
We just thought it was too funny that he had to keep bending over to walk around the pub!

All I can say...is I celebrated Chris' 30th a LITTLE too much!!

Chris also enjoyed his birthday...3am and we are ALMOST home!!
Okay...I think he was DONE with the birthday pictures!!
I FINALLY made him a birthday cake on Monday. I found a Betty Crocker Devil's Food cake mix and Betty Crocker vanilla icing...which is our favorite cake and it was YUMMY!!!
